How to make White Hot Chocolate
Nothing could be more soothing on a cold day than a cup of White Hot Chocolate! And there is a rule with making it – it is, experimenting and trying out new fun ingredients that appeal to you! So, let’s try to make a cup of White Hot Chocolate with these ingredients.
Servings: 4 cups
Prep time: 7 minutes
Ingredients:
White chocolate, 4-6 ounces (grated or chips)
Split vanilla bean, 1
Vanilla bean ice cream, 1-2 scoops
White granulated sugar, 1 teaspoon (optional)
Dairy whipped topping, 1 cup
Whole milk, ¾ cup
Hazelnut-flavored dairy creamer, 1 teaspoon
Preparation:
1) Warm the milk in a small saucepan over low heat.
2) Add the vanilla bean, dissolve the sugar in the milk and then slowly add the white chocolate.
3) When the chocolate has melted, add the heavy cream. Add one ice cream scoop very slowly; making sure it’s completely melted before adding the second.
4) When all of the ingredients are melted, pour the hot drink into a glass mug and top with additional whipped topping or mini marshmallows.
(If the ice cream changes the texture of the white hot chocolate and you don’t care for that quality, next time omit the ice cream and add a full cup of milk.) Remember your taste is in charge here!
Tip: This makes a wonderful start for the day, try as breakfast!
