How to make Mother’s Day Cup Cakes
Ingredients:
Cupcake
1 box Betty Crocker cake mix
Water, vegetable oil and eggs called for on cake mix box
Fondant
250 g fondant icing sugar
1 tbs icing sugar (sifted)
2 tbs cornflour
Directions:
Heat oven to 350°F.
Make cake batter as directed on box. Fill each cup two-thirds full of batter (you can use our Tescoma Delicia Silicon Hearts Pan).
Bake for about 15 minutes or a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely on cooling rack.
Add the sifted icing sugar into a bowl and make a well in the middle. Add water, a teaspoon at a time and stir until it is too stiff to stir anymore.
Using your hands, form the icing into a ball and then place onto a clean, dry surface dusted with so icing sugar and knead until it becomes completely smooth.
Roll out the icing onto a clean surface dusted with a mixture of icing sugar and cornflour. Cut out the shapes you desire and ice the cake immediately
