How to make Vanilla Date Smoothie
Rich in fiber, iron, and vitamin A, these little beauties compliment vanilla very well. Make sure you remove the pit before dropping them in the blender!
This simple smoothie is sweet from the date’s natural sugars, and you can bank on 2 grams of fiber for each small fruit. Feel free to garnish with nuts (optional).
Ingredients:
1/2 cup plain nonfat yoghurt
1/2 cup nonfat milk
1/2 cup dates (pits removed)
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 ice cubes.
Directions:
Blend all ingredients together until smooth.
